Personal attention
Small groups and one-to-one coaching, so the session actually fits the person in front of us.
A small functional fitness and personal training studio on Point Loma Ave, built around longevity, sustainability and the people who keep showing up.
Efficient Working Bodies opened in 2016 with a premise that has not changed: fitness should be sustainable enough to keep. Not a six-week sprint, not a personality, not a room designed to make you feel behind. A practice you can return to for years.
A decade later, the studio is still in Ocean Beach and Point Loma, still small by design, and still organized around three things: personal attention, accountability and community. The work spans personal training, small group classes, strength and conditioning, mobility, yoga stretching, nutrition counseling, injury support, body composition analysis, run club and community workshops.
The culture is longevity and sustainability. That means the coaching has to account for birthdays, busy weeks, old injuries and the life happening outside the session — not just the workout on the whiteboard.
“Move better. Feel better. Be better.” is not a slogan for a finish line. It is the order the work happens in.

A standing time, a coach who notices, and a plan that keeps moving when life gets busy.
Neighbors training side by side in Ocean Beach and Point Loma for the last ten years.

Group training classes are capped at 12 people. LIFT classes are smaller still, with controlled tempos and more individual attention. That cap is not a marketing line; it is the reason a coach can see everyone in the room.
The equipment list is short and functional, chosen for the work the studio actually does.
The studio does not publish testimonials on this site. The reviews are on Google, in public, where they belong.
